Roach was a rigger specializing in drones. His day job was teaching biology. (His speciality was entomology.) He had a thing for photography, especially the ancient chemical kind.
His street name comes from his penchant for using a roach-like Renraku arachnoid drone.
He died jacked into Claudia's van, getting his drones ready to blow away the bad guys. (No armor on the van, darn.)
