I'm Grunt. I kill bad things with my bardiche and long bow. Some say I'm slow, but I say that they're just too fast. I born in orc tribe, but was rescued by nice priest that said I could do great things. Illmater help me do that, even though it's tough sometimes. Illmater tough god, not like silly ones like Selune and Sune. Whenever I walk by temple of Sune, priests run in other direction. Not focused. They say they not like how I look. I like Grunt's look. Like tusks, make me look tough to scare bad guys. Tempus is pretty good, but they just like killing things. Not just bad things. They go berserk and then kill good guys too. Tyr and Torm guys not know how to have fun, but they say Illmater is like them. Illmater know how to have fun, even when being punched in gut. I like that. You want punch in gut?
I new in city, strange place. One time, bunch of priests, like stuck-up Tyr one, call me and others. Illmater must have told them how good I am at killing bad guys. But no priest of Illmater. Illmater not want to be in city, not good enough for him. Tymora and Lathander priests pretty good, though. We sent back in time to help dumb dwarves. Dumb evil drow attack. We save dwarves, even though they not nice to me. Illmater says Grunt have to help them anyway. But that good, we get to kill bad guys. Grunt see some of dwarves around city lately, some even talk to me. (Grunt not think dwarves dumb any more.) Only name Grunt remember is Cleo-something. She smart, she priestess of dwarven goddess of healing. Goddess Silver-something sound like good goddess. Maybe she and Illmater go out drinking sometimes.
Living City is a trademark of TSR, Inc. (And now, I suppose, of Wizards of the Coast.) It's used without permission, but I'm certainly not using it with any malicious intent. Hope they don't sue!
