November 08, 2003: I discovered Gamebooks.org, and so did some cleanup on my Lone Wolf page.
September 27, 2003: I have added a page of Living Greyhawk songs.

That is from a recent speech by Lt Colonel Tim Collins, of the Royal Isish Battle Group. You can read more of it at the NPR site, and at the New York Times (there seem to be many sites, offering varying parts of the speech.)

Today is also the 400th anniversary of the death of my favorite English monarch, Elizabeth I. We still think of you, Good Queen Bess. Godspeed.

Somewhat related to both of the above items, is from my version of the Great American Novel, which if it goes how these things normally go, will never see completion. It has undergone somewhat of a metamorphosis over the last couple years, due to events both personal and public. In any case, I submit a short speech from the beginning it, written a couple months ago...

That is not meant to be any special sort of commentary on real-world figures, it's just taking inspiration from them.

And so, we are at war. (Not literally, since there is no such declaration, but close enough to kill soldiers.) I pray that it ends well, for I don't see the path there without a healthy dose of the divine.

November 16, 2002: Minor redesign of the site; the header is new and more attractive, plus the site is now primarily HTML 4.0 compliant. Let iCab smile!
September 18, 2002: J. Michael Straczynski (of Babylon 5 fame) has been writing the "Amazing Spider-Man" comic for the last couple years now. He wrote an issue a year ago related to the September 11 attacks, and he just released the text to be posted wherever we like - I have put it here.

We are watching those who would destroy what the United States stands for; I dislike the fact that some of those are natural born US citizens, that we trusted to some extent as recently as over a year ago. I hope and pray they do not succeeed.
September 11, 2002: I have updated my Living Force stat generator for the 28 stat points standard for the Revised Core Rulebook.
September 04, 2002: I have uploaded my GenCon 2002 report.
March 03, 2002: I've added some more information (like hit points and skill points per level, and bonus spells) for my Living City and Living Greyhawk stat generators. Also, I've put up a first stab at a D&D Combat cheat sheet - for those little things I keep forgetting, like how Grapple and Trip works.

February 03, 2002: I have updated my Living Force stat generator to handle the newly-allowed races out of Alien Anthology and Secrets of Tatooine.
I've also updated my Living City Stat Generator to include the non-legal races in the Forgotten Realms Campaign Guide.
January 31, 2002: I have noticed a big hole in my RPGA Living Campaign info sheets, and have added the history record and tournament record for Living Force.
January 15, 2002: In a violent (and embarassing) accident involving a rubber band, two jars of mayonnaise, a quantum flux capacitor, nineteen maps of Rhode Island, and a fully licensed CD copy of Barenaked Ladies' "Stunt", the page counters for this site were damaged beyond repair.

They have been reset.
January 08, 2002: Let's all remember what the United States flag stands for - life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness, and a lot of other good things. It doesn't stand for things like hatred.

I have two opinion pieces dealing with flags today, one I wrote a while back about the Confederate battle flag, and a new one about the controversy over people burning the United States flag. I expect that there are a lot of people who disagree with me on these issues, but that's life.
